Dear Timber Frame Enthusiast,
Thank you for exploring our Web site. I hope we are able to shed a little light on our company.
For 25 years, Vermont Timber Frames has been crafting traditional timber frame structures for use in residential and commercial buildings. We offer our clients timber frame design, engineering, fabrication and erection services. We offer structural insulated panel enclosure systems and installation services. We also distribute Loewen doors and windows.
Vermont Timber Frames’ structures are unique because of our historical approach to design and fabrication. Traditional methods dictate that every wooden member and connecting joint in the frame be designed and engineered for its specific function. In other words, we do not force timber size into our design to simplify material ordering. The result is a timber frame structure that has balance and an artistic expression of its function. Led by Paul Martin, VTF vice president and one of the industry’s master timber framers, our construction philosophy is bound by uncompromising standards that include housed joints and drawbored pegging. The quality of craftsmanship and joinery at VTF is backed by our Lifetime Structural Warranty.
VTF’s production capacity has recently been bolstered enough to respond to even the most demanding schedules. We use state-of-the-art production equipment to handle bulk cutting and rudimentary tasks, while relying on our experienced joiners to apply their skills to specialized crafting and finishing details. The automation affords our clients increased efficiencies; our craftsmen ensure that the finished product is strong, romantic, and undeniably beautiful.
We are proud to admit that word of mouth and repeat business are directly responsible for our growth. Our discerning clients have come to rely on our expertise in our field and our world-renowned craftsmanship. Our design and building services are highlighted by a level of service that is unsurpassed in the industry. Every time we complete a project on schedule, stay true to the initial specifications, stay within budget, and avoid conflicts (or at the very least solve problems immediately and to the client’s satisfaction) we know that we may have earned a client for life. Examples abound. After restoring and renovating the Tap Room in the Maidstone Country Club of East Hampton, NY, when the Ballroom in the same facility was in need of renovation a couple years later the owners called on us to complete it. Samuels & Steelman Architects of Cutchogue, NY, rely on us for several of their projects each year. Steve & Valerie Konstantino recently sold their Vermont Timber Frame in Connecticut and worked with us to design and build their new home in Maine. These relationships underscore the value of our approach and philosophy.
We would be thrilled to meet you to talk to you about your upcoming project, or just to talk about timber framing and our company. Contact us anytime to set up an appointment.
Sincerely,
Tom Harrison
