The last bent is raised into place ceremoniously by hand by Dennis Wedlick Architects & Bill Stratton Building's teams.  Assisted by a grant from NYSERDA, the 3 year old project finally came to fruition over the last few months.  The house is thought to be the first of it's kind in NY & is based on the German Passive design.  The home is calculated to use 17% of the energy a standard framed house of the same square footage would use without the introduction of PV or Geothermal systems.

VTF provided the glulam crucks & framing ... our Timberline Panel division is providing 12.25" EPS SIPs (R-45) for the walls & 12.25" Neopor SIPs (R-52) for the roof.
